RIM Delays Reporting of Second-Quarter Financial Results
5:50 am on October 16, 2006 | Category: Business, Corporate
Research In Motion Ltd. has warned securities regulators that it will not be able to meet the October 17th filing deadline for reporting its second-quarter financial results.
RIM revealed after markets closed on Friday that it will need to review certain figures before filing its report, due to a potential “technical error” under U.S. accounting principles.
A management and insider cease-trade order will be issued to prevent RIM’s senior executives and directors from trading stock in the company until all results are reported publicly.
