After much anticipation, Samsung has launched the world’s first 10-megapixel digital camera cell phone in its home market of South Korea.

Originally unveiled at an industry trade show in March, the SCH-B600 is quite a crafty little device. It weighs 10 grams less, and is 5mm thinner, than its 7-megapixel equivalent, the SCH-V770.

In addition to its more-than-generous resolution, the B600 phone features a 3x optical zoom and 5x digital zoom, as well as a built-in TV-input jack for easy viewing of photos and videos on a larger screen. Media can also be streamed onto a compatible television, using a Satellite DMB antennae, or saved on a MMCmicro card for later viewing.

As you can probably imagine, this hot new phone (which also includes an MP3 player), doesn’t come cheap. It is currently available in the European market at a cost of 900,000 won, the equivalent of around US$937.
