Pure-play VoIP provider, Vonage, has announced a new marketing partnership with Hewlett-Packard, which will see the Vonage software offered along with HP and Compaq-branded desktop and notebook computers.
Customers who purchase a new computer will get a special discount on the VoIP provider’s premium unlimited calling plan for residential subscribers. Vonage CDs and pamphlets will be bundled with each new machine sold, encouraging buyers to give the popular broadband phone service a try.
In a related story, Vonage has announced that 90% of its VoIP telephony subscribers are now equipped with Enhanced 911 coverage, allowing emergency operators to accurately pinpoint a caller’s exact location whenever required to do so.
