American Technology Research Predicts IM-Enabled Apple iPhone

As hype builds over Apple’s much-anticipated iPhone device, yet another research firm is predicting that the hardware manufacturer will in fact market two phones, not one.

An analyst with American Technology Research predicted last week that the second iPhone would be fully integrated with iTunes and include wireless instant messaging capability, rumored to be called “iChat Mobile.” The analyst also predicted that the iPhone would resemble an iPod Nano, and will hit the market sometime in early 2007.

Although still very speculative at this point – in fact, little more than wild guessing – predictions of two iPhone devices from various analysts have aroused plenty more speculation about Apple’s plans. For a number of different reasons, a double iPhone launch is looking like the most logical course of action…
