Palm Inc. has just announced the launch of its latest PDA-Smartphone, the Treo 680, in the U.S. market, and claims to be targeting ” individuals who want to stay connected with an all-in-one mobile phone that is affordable, simple and fun.”

The newest addition to the Treo family comes in a range of colors, boasting a slim form factor and internal antenna, making it more stylish and compact than predecessors.

In terms of features, Palm’s latest smartphone functions as a music and video player, featuring bundled content from Yahoo and YouTube, respectively. Users will be able to access the Yahoo! Music Unlimited song library directly from the phone, and download tracks remotely onto a PC.

Equipped for GSM, GPRS, and EDGE cellular networks, the Treo 680 is now available in the U.S. through Cingular Wireless and Palm retail stores, at an initial price of $399.
