Finnish cell phone giant, Nokia, unveiled two new CDMA handsets yesterday at the 3G World Congress in Hong Kong. The new phones are fairly basic in terms of features, and will be targeted mostly at the entry-level “text and talk†consumer market.
The Nokia 1325 is equipped with a 64,000-color display, integrated hands-free speakerphone, voice recorder, and enough memory to store 400 contacts and 150 text messages. It features a light 71 gram body and a battery life of 3.5 hours of talk time or 6.5 days of standby.
The lower-end Nokia 1265, meanwhile, offers comparable battery life, but only has a single monochrome display. Its features include a hands-free speakerphone, 60-second voice recorder, and 250-entry contacts directory.
Both phones are set to hit the market in early 2007, and will be primarily targeted to first-time cell phone buyers in Asia-Pacific countries.
