News Corp.’s online social networking service, MySpace.com, has entered the European mobile phone sector for the first time through a deal with Vodafone, Britain’s leading wireless operator.

Vodafone Live! Users will now be able to download the MySpace Mobile software on their handsets, and use it to send and receive MySpace messages, upload photos, post blog entries, and edit their profiles on the go.

“This partnership brings together the world’s number one lifestyle portal and the world’s leading mobile operator,” said MySpace executive, Colin Digiaro, about the recent agreement.
