The webmail was the first complaint. My parents were told they *had* to use webmail and would not be able to use Outlook. I found this page looking for pop settings. The webmail is terrible. How can anyone read more than a few words at a time? The page had 350+ items to download too. Why did tech support tell them they had to use it? While trying to help them fix their computer, it kept crashing. The problem was the lousy embarq firewall/popup blocker software. Once I removed this, everything worked as expected. As for the embarqmail.com domain, it is lengthy, and difficult to communicate to others. If customer satisfaction is their #1 priority, they could easily pay the $10 for another domain and alias it. The few people who say they work for or represent embarq, yet write incomplete and incoherent sentences, should really stay away from boards like this. Those people just anger the others who see reality, not corporate brainwashing.
