VoIP telephony specialist, SIPphone, has launched a new service by the name of Gizmo Call, which allows internet users to make free VoIP calls directly from their web browser.

Gizmo Call allows customers to make calls by typing their number of choice into a special text box, then downloading a simple flash plug-in. Unlike Skype, Yahoo Messenger, and Google Talk, Gizmo Call doesn’t require the use of a downloadable software client, making it a great choice for travelers making calls from cyber cafés and internet kiosks.

Registered users get up to 10 minutes of calling per day from virtually any broadband-connected computer in the world, and can purchase additional “Call Out” minutes in $10 increments. It works with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems, and can be run in Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Opera browser windows. Adobe Flash 9 is the only additional software requirement.

    1. This is very similar to what our company needs. we are attemptint to centralize our operations on a single webpage and a VoIP telephone is the last ingredient we need.
