British entertainment and communications giant, Virgin Media, announced this week that it will begin offering quadruple-play service bundles to customers throughout the UK.
The Virgin group is the first British communications operator to release a “quad-play” package of home and mobile phone service, broadband internet, and cable TV. The company says it will extend the reach of its television services into non-cable areas in the coming year, with the eventual goal of reaching 97% of UK households.
In addition to this Virgin Media will be making a major push into retail sales, with the launch of fifteen new high-street stores selling Virgin Mobile cell phones, bundled with other services.
