TowerStream is continuing its quest for expansion in the U.S. metro WiMAX market, with the roll-out of wireless broadband services in Miami, Florida.

The company has switched on a single fixed WiMAX base station atop Miami’s tallest building, the Four Seasons Hotel, allowing it to offer wireless T1 internet access to enterprise customers throughout the city.

This makes Miami the eighth U.S. city to have a TowerStream network in place. The company also operates wireless broadband services in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle, Boston, San Francisco, and Providence, Rhode Island.
