TTV to Test MediaFLO Mobile Television Technology in Taiwan

Taiwanese broadcaster, TTV, will being testing Qualcomm’s MediaFLO mobile television technology in the city of Taipei later this month.
The Asian broadcaster will work with News Corp. and Koos Group joint venture, China Network Systems (CNS), in performing the upcoming technical trials. Three live channels from TTV, and four from CNS, will be used in the testing process.
The world’s first commercial MediaFLO-based service was launched in the United States last week by Verizon Wireless. It costs US$15 per month and offers shows from CBS, Fox, NBC News, NBC Entertainment, Comedy Central, ESPN, MTV, and Nickelodeon.
