Verizon’s FiOS television offering is continuing its gradual march into the New York City metropolitan area, with fiber optic TV service now available in the Westchester County villages of Tuckahoe and Port Chester.

Both of the small communities awarded new cable franchises to Verizon in February.

Verizon’s pay-TV service is now available in 60 towns and villages in the state of New York, and is posing a growing threat to cable incumbent, Cablevision Systems Corp., in the New York City metropolis.
