AT&T Wireless, also known as Cingular, has expanded its selection of mobile messaging plans to offer unlimited text, picture, video, and instant messages in a single package for the first time.

Messaging Unlimited, as the new plan is called, allows customers to send and receive messages within the United States, for a flat monthly rate of $19.99. Users who communicate mostly within the AT&T/Cingular network can add unlimited in-network messaging to any existing SMS or MMS plan for just $5 per month.

“Our customers are sending messages more than ever before, and we are committed to creating plans that accommodate all of their needs,” commented Cristy Swink, the executive director of Messaging at AT&T Wireless.
