Interactive Intelligence Brings Interactive IP Telephony to Smartphones

Interactive Intelligence, a provider of IP telephony solutions, has released a new mobile communication product that brings all the functionality of a corporate desktop phone to compatible wireless devices.

Interaction Client, Mobile Edition, as the new product is called, comes with a presence management feature that lets employees find out if a coworker is at his or her desk, or available to take calls. It also enables mobile access to company directories, and Microsoft Outlook contact information, and has features for call control, call recording, text messaging, and multi-party conference calling.

The new solution is now available for enterprise-level smartphones based on Windows Mobile 5.0, and may be available for other operating systems in the future.
