Verizon Wireless Launches Live Mobile Television in Eight More Cities

Verizon Wireless has just expanded its V CAST Mobile TV service into eight additional eight additional U.S. markets, including major cities like New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Indianapolis.
The wireless giant commercially launched its live mobile television service in 20 markets on March 1, and now serves a total of 28 markets nationwide.
The service is based on Qualcomm’s MediaFLO technology, and includes eight channels of television content, including CBS Mobile, ESPN, Fox Mobile, NBC 2Go, NBC News 2Go, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, and MTV. It is now available to 3G wireless subscribers in all of America’s largest cities, at a monthly cost of $15.
