Cincinnati Bell Launches Wireless Voicemail-to-SMS Service
6:15 am on June 6, 2007 | Category: Telecom Services, Wireless, Messaging
Cincinnati Bell has launched an innovative new communication service that lets wireless subscribers receive their incoming voicemail messages in SMS text format.
The service is powered by SpinVox, which announced a partnership with Cincinnati Bell in February. Packages start at $4.99/month, and should work with any SMS-capable cell phone, PDA, or BlackBerry device.
“SpinVox will transform voice messaging for our customers,” according to Cincinnati Bell president and CEO, Jack Cassidy. “Our customers are looking for easier, simpler communications and that’s what we’re delivering with SpinVox. It’s an innovative product capability that allows individuals to stay connected and informed when their daily schedule may be too hectic to stop and listen to a voicemail message.”
