Cross-platform VoIP startup, Jajah, has moved beyond phone calls, announcing on Monday that it is providing a click-to-call voice service to clients of internet dating giant, eHarmony.

Mountain View, California-based Jajah, which also offers mobile VoIP services, is attempting to diversify in an age where pure-play residential VoIP carriers are in dire financial straits.

“Voice for the sake of voice is becoming a commodity,” commented Yankee Group analyst, Zeus Kerravala, “but voice as an embedded part of the business process, like Skype does for eBay, is much more attractive.”

Jajah’s new click-to-call dating service, Secure Call, allows eHarmony members to talk to each other anonymously, without sharing personal telephone numbers, at a flat cost of just $5.95 per month.

“Until today, you lost anonymity once you went to the voice stage, but this keep syou as much in control of your information disclosure as you are when you use email,” explained eHarmony CEO, Greg Waldorf.
