Vodafone UK has announced plans to launch a secure SMS messaging service, via a special reseller agreement with a company called Broca.
Vodafone will integrated Broca’s patent SMS encryption technology – SAMS – with its existing portfolio of wireless text messaging services. SAMS will be offered as a value-added service for corporate customers, who will be billed on a per-message basis, with Broca receiving a portion of the revenues generated.
“This is a major achievement and an excellent addition to our community of partners,” commented Broca’s Managing Director, Ian Price. “The agreement with Vodafone provides a significant endorsement for our SAMS product and will allow us to gain further momentum and generate traction with customers going forward.”
