America’s leading telecommunications provider, AT&T Inc., announced on Tuesday that it will soon extend its U-verse fiber-optic television service into the state of North Carolina.

The telecom giant says it will spend $350 million to upgrade its data infrastructure in the state, which will not only enable the U-verse expansion, but also make AT&T’s broadband internet services faster and more attractive to consumers.

As of June 30, AT&T’s fiber-optic television service had 51,000 subscriber in 23 American markets.
