American wireless leader, AT&T Inc., is launching a new mobile music phone from LG Electronics, which gives users access to subscription music websites like Napster and eMusic, in addition to AT&T’s own Mobile Music service.

The LG ‘trax,’ set to hit AT&T retail stores today, also features wireless television service from MobiTV, and live satellite radio from XM Radio Mobile.

“The trax by LG offers AT&T customers an extremely functional music phone with a cutting-edge design,” according to LG’s vice president of marketing and product strategy, Ehtisham Rabbani. “Features such as CV and the ability to sync music from Napster, eMusic and Yahoo! Music make trax an excellent phone for the convergence of communication and entertainment.”

The phone has an integrated 1.3-megapixel digital camera with photo-editing capabilities, and will support AT&T’s Video Share service, allowing users to send one-way video feeds during a voice call.

“The trax by LG is more than a music phone,” commented Carlton Hill, the vice president of product management for AT&T Wireless. “With top-notch video and data capabilities, in addition to a sleek design, this device will hit the right note with many of our customers.”
