Australian rock band, AC/DC, is finally distributing its music in digital format, through a deal with American cell phone carrier, Verizon Wireless.

Verizon has gained exclusive rights to the band’s entire back catalog though March 2008, and is now offering AC/DC content on its V CAST Music network, at a cost of $12 per album. The albums can be downloaded via a PC, then transferred to a compatible mobile device.

AC/DC’s biggest hit, “You Shook Me All Night Long,” will be available as an over-the-air cell phone download.

Verizon Wireless has also gained the rights to sell ringtones and ringbacks of 18 additional AC/DC tracks not available from rival carriers, and plans to broadcast a number of the band’s concerts via the V CAST mobile video service.
