Nokia Siemens Wins Deutsche Telekom Network Maintenance Contract

Telecom equipment joint venture, Nokia Siemens Networks, said yesterday that it had won a long-term network maintenance contract from Deutsche Telekom.

The contract pertains to the German telecom incumbent’s DSL broadband infrastructure, including routers manufactured by Juniper Networks.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Nokia Siemens did say that had managed to significantly reduce Deutsche Telekom’s network operating costs.
