Verizon Business announced on Tuesday that it was offering a new pricing option for its wholesale enterprise customers, offering a detailed breakdown of the underlying rates used to calculate monthly bills for network services.

Operating Company Number Based Billing, as the new option is called, shows rates based on geographic region, and on the underlying Local Exchange Carrier being used to transmit calls. This will allow wholesale customers to better manage their telecommunications costs, the company said.

This unique billing scheme applies to carrier IP termination SIP, carrier IP termination transport and SIP gateway service long-distance calling, and toll-free calling, as well as traditional long distance and international calls originating from within the United States.
