AT&T Wireless launched its first Windows Mobile 6.0-equipped smartphone, the AT&T Tilt, on Friday, combining the features of a cellular phone, handheld computer, GPS navigator, and 3-megapixel digital camera into a single $299 device.

Manufactured by Taiwan-based HTC, the Tilt features a 2.8-inch colour screen, which slides sideways to reveal a conveniently placed QWERTY keyboard. Its 3G mobile broadband capabilities allow users to check email, browse the internet, and play online games and videos all from the palm of their hand.

Other features include Bluetooth 2.0 wireless connectivity, as well as the latest version of TeleNav’s GPS Navigator software, which provides turn-by-turn on-screen driving directions with moving 3-D maps.
