Dell to Distribute Nortel’s Enterprise Communication Products

U.S.-based computer manufacturer, Dell Inc., has struck a deal to resell Nortel Networks’ wide range of communications technology products to its corporate clients in the United States and Canada.
The deal covers all of Nortel’s enterprise products, and a number of related services, including those developed in partnership with Microsoft Corp.
This agreement is designed to combine Dell’s expertise in personal computers and servers, with Nortel’s enterprise VoIP, data networking, and multimedia conferencing capabilities, the companies explained on Tuesday.
Financial specifics of the deal were not provided.
