British telephone incumbent, BT, has signed a deal with Paramount Pictures Digital Entertainment to make around 150 films, including Babel and An Inconvenient Truth available via the BT Vision Download Store.

UK broadband customers are able to purchase movies through BT’s online video store, regardless of which ISP they deal with.

Paramount Digital Entertainment president, Tom Lesinski, said that the BT Vision deal was an “exciting” step towards broadening Paramount’s digital footprint in Europe.

“Finding great organisations who are doing exciting things in digital distribution is a cornerstone of our growth and strategy,” Lesinski explained.
