Telecom and media giant, Verizon Communications, has extended its FiOS TV service into Holliston, Massachusetts, challenging cable incumbent, Comcast, in yet another Boston suburb.
Holliston, which counts around 14,000 residents in 5,000 households, is now one of 57 Massachusetts communities where Verizon’s fiber optic television service is available.
FiOS TV is now available to more than 400,000 Massachusetts households, the company said.
“FiOS TV gives consumers in Holliston an outstanding, superior alternative for their video entertainment,” commented Verizon’s regional president for Massachusetts and Rhode Island, Donna Cupelo. “Customers in Holliston who liked what FiOS did for their Internet connection will love what it does for their TV.”
