India Adds 6.1-Million GSM Wireless Customers

The world’s fastest-growing wireless market, India, added 6.1 million new GSM mobile phone users in November for a total user base of 166.2 million at month’s end, according to new monthly figures from the country’s Cellular Operators’ Association.
India’s leading carrier, Bharti Airtel, continued to build upon its market position in November, adding 2.05 million GSM subscribers for a total customer base of around 53 million.
