Tiscali, Virgin Media, and Sky Top UK Broadband Satisfaction Study

Tiscali is the leading major broadband ISP in the UK in terms of customer satisfaction, according to an annual study by JD Power & Associates.

Tiscali jumped from third place to first in this year’s UK Broadband Internet Service Provider Satisfaction Study, scoring 668 points out of a possible 1,000. It is followed by Virgin Media (660), and Sky (657).

Now in its third year, the study has plotted a slight decline in customer satisfaction levels, despite lower costs and faster broadband services. Average satisfaction has fallen 9 points to 645 since 2005.

UK broadband users currently wait an average of 17 minutes on the phone before speaking to a customer service representative, the study found, while the average subscriber pays £21.10 for broadband service, down from £25.91 in 2006.
