Motorola Inc. has unveiled the CPEi 100, the latest addition to its growing portfolio of WiMAX customer premises equipment.

The CEPi 100 is a single-port, plug-and-play WiMAX modem that delivers mobile broadband internet connectivity over the 2.5-GHz frequency.

Like its bulkier cousins, Motorola’s CPEi 300 and CEPi 800 devices, the CEEi 100 will sit on a user’s desktop and act as an interface between their computer and the WiMAX network. It is expected to go on sale sometime this year.
