America’s second-biggest cable company, Time Warner Cable, has introduced a new interactive online program guide, allowing customers to search its entire catalog of Video-On-Demand content in a well-organized environment.

The site, TWOnDemand.com, gives users the opportunity to search by title, genre, or director, or type in a zip code to see what is popular in their region. Parents can use the site to learn about parental control options, and determine which content is appropriate for their children.

In terms of marketing, the site lets Time Warner customers upgrade to digital cable, sign up for premium channels such as HBO, and view trailers of the newest movies and TV shows.

“Ensuring that our customers have easy access to the incredible array of content available in their own homes is a priority for us,” said Time Warner’s senior vice president of marketing communications, Lauren LoFrisco. “Twondemand.com provides access to every category, including free on-demand, high-definition shows and movies, foreign language films, music videos, exclusive content and more. It is now easier than ever to maximize your entertainment experience with Time Warner Cable.”

    1. The guide is not as good as it sounds. I am missing one feature the old guide had: I don,t have the option to pull up sorted by theme, what is on right now. For instance I am watching a crime drama and want to see what other crime dramas are running right now. There is no possibility to retrieve this information. Why was this option eliminated?
