AOL Launches Contract-Free “Flexi” Plan in the UK

AOL Broadband has launched a new high-speed internet package, called “Flexi,” which it claims is Britian’s first truly commitment-free broadband service.
The no-contract offer comes with absolutely no minimum time frame, and allows users to cancel at any time, even in their first month of service. Customers pay just £14.99/month for the 8-Mbps service.
There is a £49.99 sign-up fee, but AOL contends that this simply exists to cover a wireless router worth £50, which enables Wi-Fi home networking, and which each user gets to keep even if they disconnect in the future.
