AT&T to Provide Exclusive Coverage of Beijing Olympics on U-verse

America’s leading telecommunications provider, AT&T Inc., has announced plans to offer exclusive, behind-the-scenes coverage of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China, as part of its U-verse TV service.

An official sponsor of this year’s Olympics, AT&T will launch “Team USA On Demand” as a new category of Video On Demand programming, available at no extra cost to U-verse IPTV subscribers.

“The Summer Olympics is one of the biggest events of the year, and we’re excited to give U-verse TV customers exclusive, front-row access to their favorite Olympic sports and athletes,” said AT&T’s head of programming, Dan York. “The behind-the-scenes preparation and stories bring U-verse TV customers closer to Team USA as they cheer the team on to the gold.”
