UK businesses have a new way to easily set up Wi-Fi hotspots for their customers, thanks to a new initiative by BT Business Total Broadband.
Following a firmware upgrade scheduled for later this quarter, 170,000 of BT’s enterprise broadband users (those with a BT Business 2700 Hub) will be invited to set up secure Wi-Fi channels for their customers, and offer either free or paid on-site wireless broadband access.
“It is a real differentiator for businesses, offering the potential to deliver a prime business service to their visitors and dramatically increase the number of locations from which they can connect and do business as part of the BT Business Total Broadband community,” commented Bill Murphy, the managing director of BT Business.
