The UK division of European mobile phone operator, O2, has launched its own Mobile Broadband service, which it says will allow laptop users to enjoy fast, easy, and reliable internet access on the go.
For £20 a month, existing O2 customers can download up to 3GB of data over the company’s cellular network, and enjoy unlimited access to more than 7,500 Wi-Fi hotspots operated by The Cloud.
Customers who sign an 18-month contract will receive a free USB modem. Those who wish to sign-up on a month-to-month basis are required to purchase the modem for £119.99.
O2 says that the new service, which will soon offer downstream bandwidth of up to 3.6-Mbps, offers “value for money pricing, fast speeds, as well as UK-based after sales service.”
