Qwest Communications to Launch 20-Mbps Broadband Service

Qwest Communications plans to price its new “Quantum” speed DSL service at $119.99 a month, according to the company’s website.

The upcoming service, described by Qwest as “Beyond Fast,” offers download speeds of 20-Mbps and upstream bandwidth of 896-kbps at a cost of $119.99 a month.

Set to be available in 23 Qwest markets by the end of this year, the new 20-Mbps tier comes with firewall, anti-virus, and file backup services, parental control options, 10 email accounts, 5GB of email storage, wireless networking for up to five PCs, and 24×7 technical support.
