Verizon Launches Unlimited Wireless Plan for Small Business Users

U.S. telecom giant, Verizon Communications, has launched an unlimited wireless calling plan for small business customers, amid growing competition with AT&T in the enterprise wireless sector.
Verizon announced that enterprise clients that subscribe to its unlimited wireline long distance service (“Freedom for Business”), will receive unlimited cell phone calls within the Verizon Wireless network. The plan also includes unlimited wireless calling to any five landline phone numbers, and unlimited minutes to out-of-network cell phone numbers for a flat fee of $4.99 per number per month.
Verizon launched a $99/month unlimited wireless plan for non-business customers in February, and was quickly followed by AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint Nextel.
Verizon Wireless, a 55/45 partnership between Verizon Communications and Vodafone Group, is currently America’s second largest cell phone provider, and is expected to overtake AT&T for the top spot after completing a proposed acquisition of smaller rival, Alltel Corp.
