Verizon Offers Free High-Definition DVR to New FiOS TV Subscribers

Verizon Communications is offering a new incentive for users to order its FiOS TV service in advance of the fall television season.
Until October 4, new FiOS subscribers will be given a free high-definition digital video recorder for one year, as well as a a free one-month subscription to HBO and Cinemax.
“High-def is hot, and FiOS TV is delivered over the network that’s built for HD,” said Verizon’s vice president of video solutions, Shawn Strickland, upon announcing the promotion. “Our new offer combines the excitement of premium movies with the convenience and advanced technology of our high-def DVRs. It’s a great time for people to experience HD the way it’s meant to be seen, with the sharpness and clarity of FiOS TV.”
