Internet giant, Google Inc., has released a mobile version of its Google Earth mapping software specifically for use on Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch devices.
Like the desktop version of Google Earth, the mobile product (not available as a free download at Apple’s App Store) allows users to view road maps and satellite images from around the world, as well as 3D fly-throughs and business search features in many areas.
Special features available on the iPhone and iPod Touch include the ability to re-orientate your view by physically tilting your device, as well as multi-touch navigation tools. A ‘My Location’ feature, meanwhile, allows you to bring up an instant map or satellite photograph of wherever you are on the planet.
