Growing Demand for Personal Navigation Devices in Europe
3:09 am on November 3, 2008 | Category: Wireless Technology, Mobile DevicesEuropean demand for portable navigation devices grew 19% this summer (June, July, & August) compared to the same period last year, according to recent research by GfK Retail and Technology.
The growing popularity of these devices has been driven by declining prices, however, causing the actual value of the market to shrink.
The average selling price of a portable navigation device in Europe declined 28% between May 2007 and January 2008, and a further 7% between January and August this year.
