TiVo Inc., a well-known pioneer in the home DVR industry, announced yesterday that it is teaming up with Domino’s Pizza to give its customers the option of ordering pizza from their home TV set.

TiVo subscribers will be able to click an on-screen “I want it” button using their TV remote, and receive a pizza at the door within 30 minutes, according to Domino’s vice president of precision and print marketing, Rob Weisberg. Users can enter their delivery address, and preferred crust type and sauces through the TV, and set up a Dominos.com account to save their information for future orders.

“This is the first time in history that the ‘on-demand’ generation will be able to fully experience couch commerce by ordering pizza directly through their television set,” Weisberg commented.

Beginning this week, the service is available at no extra charge to all TiVo subscribers.
