Bell Mobility Launches 3G-Enabled BlackBerry Pearl Flip

Canadian cell phone carrier, Bell Mobility has debuted Research In Motion’s newest flip phone, the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230, at an earlier date than previously anticipated.
This new device is a CDMA-based version of its earlier counterpart, the Pearl Flip 8220. It comes equipped with a 2-megapixel digital camera, Bluetooth, and media capabilities.
Unlike its GSM counterpart, the 8230-model can tap into 3G data networks, using an EV-DO cellular broadband chip. It also features built-in GPS navigation technology, instead of a Wi-Fi chip. (RIM likely figured that Wi-Fi was less necessary in a 3G-enabled handset.)
The BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230 is now available at a cost of $29.95 on a three-year voice and data contract with Bell Mobility. It will be available in the U.S. (through Verizon Wireless) later this year.

I think the iPhone for $149 is a better deal as it’s a computer and music player too
So much iPhone software
