Struggling handset maker, Motorola, may soon follow HTC and Samsung into the Android smartphone market, according to BoyGeniusReport.com.
Apparently, Motorola’s next major smartphone product (code-named ‘Calgary’) will feature a sliding design, QWERTY keyboard, and Google Android operating system, as well as some social networking features. It is set to be launched by Verizon Wireless later this year.
Motorola was an early backer of Google’s Android project, and is reportedly planning to use the new operating system in a number of future smartphone products.
