Nortel Signs Four-Year Networking Deal with BT
11:55 pm on May 19, 2009 | Category: Business, CorporateDespite its recent bankruptcy and ongoing attempts at liquidation, Canadian telecom equipment manufacturer, Nortel Networks, is maintaining normal business operations, signing a four-year deal to supply enterprise networking gear to BT.
BT Global Services chief, Lewis Lyell, described the agreement as “very good news for our customers,” brushing aside concerns about Nortel’s fragile financial situation.
Nortel confirmed it is “confident that the products and services it supplies will continue to be supported without impacting customers for the foreseeable future.”
Nortel’s business relationship with BT has spanned 15 years.
