Apple iPhone 3GS Sold Out at AT&T and BestBuy

American iPhone retailers, AT&T and BestBuy, have already sold out of Apple’s new iPhone 3GS device, according to reports.
The device is set to be available this coming Friday (June 19), but customers who haven’t already pre-ordered may be forced to wait up to two weeks for their new iPhones.
But even despite the early availability hiccups, analysts don’t expect demand to be as overwhelming as it was for the original iPhone 3G, which sold more than a million units in its first weekend of availability last summer.
“I wouldn’t expect the kind of inventory problems Apple had last year,” said Technology Business Research analyst, Ezra Gottheil, in an interview with ComputerWorld.
The iPhone 3GS looks almost identical to earlier iPhone models, but features a significantly faster processor and improved digital camera, among other advanced features.
