Fido Offers ‘Refreshed’ iPhones for $49
6:18 pm on July 13, 2009 | Category: Cell Phones, Mobile Devices, Wireless
Fido, the discount arm of Rogers Communications’ wireless division, has begun offering lightly used or “refreshed” Apple iPhone devices at the rock-bottom price of $49, on a three-year voice and data contract.
Fido describes the refreshed devices as “phones that were returned by customers within 15 days from the date of activation.” The discounted iPhones don’t include earphones or other accessories, and may have a few scratches, but do come with a 6-month warranty.
For Canadians who’ve been holding out for a bargain on the popular iPhone, this limited-time offer might be your chance.

Still don’t trust Rogers or anything associated with them.

I’ve been with Fido ten years now. I though we were cooked when Rogers bought it, but the only thing happened was Rogers tried to mess with the pricing to funnel clients.
Most of stayed, City Fido (best plan EVER) contracts could not be broken. Fido still offers lots of flexibility with plan amendments whilst contracted, BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE PERIOD.
I won’t switch companies. In recent times, Fido has been diversifying – the goal is (finally, Rogers) to have a COMPETITIVE discount carrier, and Rogers almost mashed that (as per usual).

Cell phones and Internet access should be free.
Houses and cars should also be free.
Beer should definitely be free.
Hotels and restaurants should obviously be free.
They’re all crooks. How dare they charge for anything.
We shouldn’t have to pay for anything and our government should see to it.
