Smartphone manufacturer, Research In Motion, has introduced a new social networking website for BlackBerry users to share information about the popular family of devices.

MyBlackBerry, as the site is called, allows customers to rate and review software applications, network with other users, and “find tips and tricks from others to help get the most out of BlackBerry.”

“We want to make it easier for BlackBerry users to have a say,” commented one Research In Motion spokesman when asked about the site.

MyBlackBerry will also be used to promote RIM’s mobile software marketplace, App World, which currently lists some 2,000 applications, but still lags far behind Apple’s wildly popular App Store.
