Finnish cell phone giant, Nokia, has confirmed rumours that it will introduce its own netbook PC, and has released a list of specifications for the forthcoming device.

The ‘Booklet 3G’ will feature a 10-inch LCD display and sleek aluminum design, as well as an impressive 12 hours of battery life. It will include built-in GPS, Wi-Fi, and 3G cellular connectivity, as well as a Windows operating system (although Nokia hasn’t said which version).

“A growing number of people want the computing power of a PC with the full benefits of mobility,” commented Nokia’s executive VP of devices, Kai Oistamo. “We are in the business of connecting people and the Nokia Booklet 3G is a natural evolution for us.”

Nokia plans to reveal more details about the Booklet 3G, including availability and pricing information, at the Nokia World 09 event in Stuttgart, Germany next week.
