Research In Motion Developing Bluetooth Watch?
5:40 pm on August 12, 2009 | Category: Wireless Technology, Mobile Devices, Email, MessagingResearch In Motion vice president, Antoine Boucher, is rumoured to have said at this year’s Wireless Enterprise Symposium that the company was working on a Bluetooth watch.
The watch would apparently be able to receive notifications of new Facebook, SMS, and email messages, and may also include a feature to stream music onto a car stereo.
Boucher’s alleged comments remain an unconfirmed rumour (and a three-month old one at that), but a Bluetooth watch does fit well with the company’s ongoing effort to expand into new markets. Perhaps such a product will surface in time for the Christmas shopping season…
